Mia and Katie's Room

A Room for Sisters!

We started this room almost as early as we started our adoption paperwork!  Since we had given the boys' crib away long ago, we purchased a beautiful, like-new sleigh crib at a consignment store.  Then I started collecting various Pottery Barn Kids pieces/bedding that I found either on clearance at the PBK store or website, or on E-Bay.   The chair and ottoman are gliders, which are oh so nice at 2 a.m. with a fussy baby.  The dresser and changing table are pieces that we had used for the boys. We simply sanded and re-painted them to match the room.  It is so much fun to decorate for a girl!

We have had so much fun getting this room ready for Mia. All of the "girly" colors and sweet flowers and butterflies are quite a change from the safari look, sports room and teenage music/drum room of our boys!  This room is only missing one thing.  Mia!!!!
